Dundee school children are to be heard on the air onthe evening of Saturday, 20th, June, from 6.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tram Hold-Up
The Ninewells to High Street tramway service was held up for 25 minutes at a busy period. At nine o'clock a motor freighter, belonging to the cleansing department and driven by William Kidd broke down on the tram lines opposite Pennycook Lane, when city bound. The news was conveyed to a tramway inspector in the centre of the town by a driver retuning with an empty bus from Harris Academy, and a bus was at once put on the High Street to Maryfield route, while a tram bound for the depot was also commandeered for the same service. After 25 minutes the freighter was removed, and the tram service returned to normal. Read more......

At Full Capacity
Cheering news concerning the company's principal mill in Dundee was included in the chairman's remarks at the forty-seventh annual meeting of A. & S. Henry & Co., Ltd in Manchester. Last year reference was made by the then Chairman, Sir Francis Joseph, to the re-equipment of the Dundee Mill, and now his successor Sir Eugene Ramsden, M.P., stated that "during the whole of the 12 months under review this mill has been working at full capacity, and although, owing to extremely keen competition, margins have been small, this subsidiary is now being run on a profit-earning basis. Dundee Showrooms Opened
Dundee's Corporation electricity showrooms have now been opened. Convener William Ames, who presided, referred to the progress made in the domestic uses of electricity in recent years at the formal opening of the showrooms in Commercial Street. Read more......

Reorganising Scheme Completed
The well-known Dundee firm of James Keiller & Son, Ltd., confectioner and fruit preservers have completed a scheme of reorganisation which involved the transfer of their London business to Dundee.
In recent months Keiller's have trebled their staff and output. A hundred representative of the house of Keiller from all over the British Isles met together in Dundee for the first time. They viewed the factory, met the management, and afterwards lunched together at the Royal Hotel. Read more......
