100th Euro Goal
Ian Redford had the honour of scoring Dundee United's 100th European goal when he notched the winner against Neuchatel on Wednesday. The former Dundee and Rangers striker is making a telling contribution to United's Euro goal tally this season. In two previous ties he has notched up a couple of goals. Ian has been troubled with injuries since his transfer from Rangers, but hi is enjoying his football again at Tannadice. And he is providing the competition Jim McLean wants in attack. Don't Miss the Roup
This weekend sees the whole-body scanner appeal committee host a massive 50-50 auction in the Caird Hall, Dundee. Literally hundreds of items have been donated - from a car right through every imaginable form of furniture and household appliance to personal effects such as jewellery. In some cases whole households have been emptied and more that a few complete suites of furniture will be up for sale. Read more......

AIDS in Tayside
The virus responsible for the spread of the killer disease AIDS has reached Tayside. Two men, believed to be from the Dundee area, were diagnosed this week as being infected with HTLV3, the medical tag for the virus. Read more......
