Snowballs for Christmas trees may be made so easily out of old soft paper. Tissue paper is, of course, the best. Roll a piece until it becomes almost hard and round - about the size of an orange. Over the ball spread some paste, then put on lightly a covering of cotton wool batting or raw cotton. Bits of wire twisted into hooks may be easily inserted in the top of the ball through the paper.
The directors of Dundee Gospel Temperance Union have arranged with Dr Pirie to deliver 20 lectures on temperance to scholars attending Dundee schools, and the matter came before the School Committee of the School Board on Monday. All the schools show an increase demand the Morgan Academy especially.
