Tramways of Dundee 1877-1956

In yonder years of long ago
We found a tram went to and fro
The horse-drawn tram a feature
Was a tram pulled with creatures

But! In 1900 the horse disappeared
To let the trams step up a gear
With seats and driver also a bell
Made a journey on rails to sell

The people so surprised at last
Forgot to walk. But! Rode so fast
Clang the bell.Just when to stop
Mostly Bell Street! To see a cop

So now the trams are now long past
Went to a scrapheap so fast
But! It was a joy! For a penny fare
To sit on top without a care
