An animated feature clock will be a special attraction for children at the Wellgate Shopping Centre.
Mr Peter Haward, of Haward Horological Ltd of Ipswich is working on the area where the clock is to be installed - on the third floor of the Centre above the patio restaurant.The clock has nine bells cast by Whitechapel Bell Foundry and figures of a lion, unicorn, footman, monkey, cat and fiddle and two bluebirds all animated.

A new lunch club for the elderly was attended by over 30 in McCheyne Church Hall on Wednesday. It is run by Perth Road zone of the Community Contact. The Club will meet every Wednesday and lunches cost 25 pence.
Applications are invited for the post of HOUSEKEEPER in the University House, the residence of the Principle of the University in Perth Road, Dundee.
The duties attached to the post (which will become vacant from October 1978) will include not only household management and cleaning but also some cooking and catering for small or medium groups of visitors to University House. The person appointed (and his/her family) will occupy a self contained flat within University House of four rooms plus kitchen and bathroom. Preference may be given to a married applicant whose spouse would be suitable for employment as chauffeur/handyman, at University House.

The district council has given Cathie McCabe approval to site her "Magic Roundabout" lottery kiosk outside her shop in the Murraygate until July 1979. She had previously been refused permission by the Planning Committee.
Derby County Manager, Tommy Docherty is the latest to fancy Dundee United's stylish defender, Dave Narey. Docherty claims that a figure of £325,000 was quoted for the under 21 international.
