An exhibition of theatrical costumes drawn from the wardrobe of Dundee Repertory Theatre officially opened today in the main foyer of the Wellgate Library. The free exhibition will be on show until November 7th.
Among the 40 exhibits are many costumes which have been used in past productions by the theatre. They range from military uniforms of the late 17th century to evening dress of the 1950's. Particularly interesting is a wedding dress from 1880 which is still in excellent condition.
In the twenty-four hours to 6.30am today, 13.520 vehicles crossed the Tay Road Bridge.
A well-known Dundee west end landmark will disappear when the Logie laundry chimney comes down soon.
The Logie housing estate was one of the first council house estates built in Dundee (just over 60 years ago) and had central heating and hot water from the district heating centre at the laundry building.
