Dundee United who have pulled off scoop pre-season friendlies in recent years, have arranged another top attraction at Tannadice next month.
Southampton English first division table topper's for a spell last season are heading north to play United on Wednesday August 11. Among the many stars in the Southampton team is Kevin Keegan, English International striker.

Best Allotments
Dundee's Old Craigie Road Allotment Society held its annual competition on Saturday. This year 16 allotments were selected from an entry of 78 for the finals. Winners of the cup for the best garden in Old Craigie Road were Mr William MacGregor, second equal were Mr Jim Grubb and Mr J. Duncan and third was Mr Edward Mechan.
Edible Jeans at Buffet
A pair of jeans with a difference will be the centrepiece of an American style buffet tonight, prepared by Edinburgh based Crawford's Catering. A cake in the shape of a full-size pair of jeans will be on the menu at Fernie Castle Hotel, Fife, when 600 employees and friends are guests of Levi Strauss jeans manufacturers.
They are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the company's Dundee factory.
