Tartar, one of the greatest enemies of the teeth, may be kept away by the daily brushing of the teeth and the use of a few drops of myrrh in a half-glass of water. Use a moderately stiff toothbrush. The teeth should be brushed after every meal but where this is not convenient brushed thoroughly every morning.
Steep a tablespoon of garden sage in a cupful of boiling water, when cold strain. Wet the head at night all over with mixture, and let it dry before braiding. Where the hair is streaked with grey, sage tea is the best thing to use; it helps to darken all over, and keeps the hair in good condition. Use it freely, it keeps the hair glossy, clean and soft.
