Craft Club

The example set by Maxwelltown Baptist Church in running a craft club to give the unemployed members something of which to occupy themselves, is one which might well be followed by other congregations. Maxwelltown has been hit hard as regards unemployment and the opportunity to devote their enforced leisure to useful work has been welcomed by quite a number of members of both sexes. Though no financial benefit occurs, they realise that by this means they can keep themselves all the fitter for real work when the chance comes along.
