Fading Away

Windsor StreetThe Old Town House is rapidly fading away. The entire roof has been stripped and when all the shopkeepers have cleared out the work of demolition will proceed with even greater rapidity.Even to the extreme sentimentalists the present dilapidated appearance of the old building has caused it to lose most of its former attractiveness and as it gradually fades out of sight so will it fade from memory.

Mr Donald Ross is to be at the piano and a jolly evening seems assured.

Cold Spell

Dundee shared in the general cold snap that prevailed all over the country on Monday. It was cold enough for snow, but the snow seemed reluctant to spoil the mild winter's record and it held off. Had it been an ordinary winter, Monday's cold would have passed practically unnoticed but, in view of the prevailing mildness the cold spell was generally regarded as of Arctic keenness.
