Church Fire In Dundee

MeetingThe congregation of Panmure Street Church on Sunday worshipped in temporary buildings, their church having been rendered untenable by a fire which took place early in the morning. The outbreak, which had its origins in a defective flue, assumed a very alarning character and here the flames were extinguished part of the roof was destroyed, while the interior of the chuch was damaged to a considerable extent. The estimated loss is £300.

A Holiday By Loch Awe

Mr James A. Anderson, of Butterburn School at the meeting of Dundee Working Men's Field Club on Tuesday delighted the audience with one of his inimitable essays "Loch Awe", it's scenery, Associations and Legendary Lore" was his theme.

Trouble At Mill Over

At last the troubles in Dundee are ended. Grimonds workers, who held out longest threw up the sponge on Tuesday and now the production in the mills and factories in the city is normal. Dundee Gymnastic Team

I am glad to see that a  Dundee gymnastic team is to represent Scotland in the contest for the Adams Shield. The Gymnastic and Athletic Club gave the Leith men a slight, but at the same time serviceable beating and in response to the well-known query "Are we donw hearted" came a huge "No!" from the Dundee me.
