To Remove Tartar from Teeth

Tartar, one of the greatest enemies of the teeth, may be kept away by the daily brushing of the teeth and the use of a few drops of myrrh in a half-glass of water. Use a moderately stiff toothbrush. Soiled Suede Gloves 1931

A pair of soiled suede gloves can be improved by heating some quite dry flour and rubbing it well into them while on the hands, with a piece of clean flannel. Grease marks will disappear under a treatment of benzine and gentle rubbing with fine sand paper.

How to Massage a Wrinkle

When you are massaging a wrinkle always imagine that your skin is a bit of tissue paper and you are rubbing the crease out of it. Go across them with fingertips carefully but lightly and try to rub them out. If you rub in a great deal of cream the wrinkle will begin to disappear. Read more......

How to get rid of wrinkles is a problem many of us are faced with. Try this paste recommended by Mrs McCarthy, which she says is excellent for the purpose. Use the white of an egg, double its quantity of rosewater, and a quarter of a teaspoon of alum. Beat the white of egg, then add the other ingredients and keep the paste in a tightly corked jar. Massage lightly round the eyes each night before retiring, until the tiny lines have disappeared. Read more......

If much dish-washing is your lot, smear a little cold cream on your hands before putting them into the water, afterwards washing them thoroughly and rubbing them with fine oatmeal which you will find is a wonderful whitener. If you wear spectacles with plastic frames you can rim the frames with nail varnish to match your colour schemes or make-up. Apply the nail varnish and leave overnight to dry. Wipe off the varnish with remover. Read more......
