Tramp, Tramp, Tramp…

Around 40 madcap enthusiasts from community centres throughout Dundee took part in a special 12 mile walk last weekend.

In an effort to publicise the many and varied activities you can enjoy at centres, the walkers toured the city on the trek which started in Menzieshill and went eastwards along a course just north of the Kingsway.

The enthusiastic staff and members of various Dundee community centres - called in at Ardler, Kirkton, Finty, Lincraig and Douglas.

"Everyone certainly entered into the spirit of the occasion" commented Ian Rodgers of the Community Education H.Q in St. Mary's, Dundee. "Some wore fancy dress and others were just plain crazy! Although it wasn't planned as such, I do know that many of the walkers were sponsored, and that money raised will be going to the scanner appeal and the handicapped in Dundee". Well worth the blisters, no doubt.
