New Player for Dundee
Rumour has it that a new player is likely to appear in the lines of the Dark Blues shortly. Who he is or where he comes from is not yet known, but for some time the Directors have been on the lookout for an additional member to the team. Dundee travel to Edinburgh today, where they meet Hearts, and in all possibility the following eleven will represent the Dens Parkers:- Lyall; Ferguson and Lindsay; Aitken; Neal and Mair; Bellamy; McLauchlan; Hamilton; McFarlane and Fraser.
Jute and Flax Workers’ Union
The half-yearly meeting of the Jute and Flax Workers’ Union was held in the Forester’s Hall, Mr Mara in the Chair. The accounts submitted were considered satisfactory. It was proposed that the Union should cease affiliation with the Labour Representation Committee, but this was defeated by an overwhelming majority. Several amendments were made on the rules and delegates were appointed to the Trade Council and the L.R.C.
