Dundee Marriage Guidance Council states in its second annual report there has been a steady progress in case work and wide development of education for marriage. 67 new cases were reported, making 133 for the last two years. Over 700 consultations have been given. It was encouraging to find some appearing before a crisis was reached. It is estimated a third of the cases were successful and more than a third showed improvement. The report appeals for associated members and donations, as there is a financial loss.

A Hair Raising Experience!

Two women and three children who live in Long Lane, Broughty Ferry will never forget their walk last Sunday afternoon. Mrs West and Allister (2), Mrs Wishart and Maureen (10) and 13 year old Maureen Donnachie were making for the beach via Castle Harbour Road. As they neared the gun battery and castle, Maureen found herself to be the centre of attention. The other were laughing and pointing at her head - her hair was standing upright!

Then Maureen laughed too - everyone's hair was the same! But the laughs turned to worried looks "What could it be?" So they all hurried out of the zone and onto the beach, where their hair resumed its natural position. The Long Lane folks don't know what caused their hair to behave like this, so, if anyone can offer an explanation we'd like to hear about it!
