Success Of The Double-Decked Car

Magdalen GreenThe double-decked type of car, which for some time has been running over the Dundee system, seems to find favour with patrons of the tramways "No 33", for such the double-decker car is officailly known, beats the cars of ordinary type. To determine its earning capacity a comparison was made between it and six other cars making the same runs for six days from 24th to 29th April inclusive.During that period the "No 33" carried 2258 more passengers than the average of the other six representing an excess in earnings of £5 14s 8d.

Good News For Housewives

Housewives will rejoice to know what an excellent food the ordinary currant constitutes. Hardly anything you eat or drink contains so much real food. Eaten either raw or cooked in puddings, cakes or bread, currants are satisfying and beneficial. They are cheap, delicious, wholesome and an agreeable addition to any meal.

Dundee Footballer For The South

The first man to leave Dens Park for next season is Fred McDiarmid, who has just signed for Tottenham Hotspur. For the past six seasons Fred has proved himself to be one of the best exponents of the winter game for Dundee. In these six years he has occupied the positions of both forward and a half-back in both of which he was an outstanding success. His departure is a loss to Dundee Football Club.
