Pinky Comes To Stay

MarketPinky, a wild goose, is having the time of its life at Grove Academy, Broughty Ferry recreational grounds this week.Mr John Reilly, the groundsman found it wandering around the park on Monday and christened it Pinky because of its pink feet.

Mr Reilly has given the bird every opportunity to fly away but it has decline. It has been offered all types of food but will have nothing but grass and dandelions.

It is hoped that Dr John Berry, Tayfield, Newport-On-Tay, will make arrangements at the weekend for its future. He is the director of nature conservancy in Scotland.

Apprenticeship

Wanted, intelligent boys interested in radio and television engineering.

Write to the Service Department intimating subjects studied and certificated gained. Successful applicants will be required to take a course at the Technical College during the apprenticeship period. Round The World In 20 Minutes

Dundee Rotarians were taken round the world in 20 minutes in a talk by ex-Lord Provost Richard Fenton at their meeting today.

Mr Fenton told the story of his recent trip carried out almost entirely by air. He visited 15 Rotary Clubs at points of calling, spending a large part of the time in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

Thanks were proposed by Rev.T.R.S. Campbell.
