Arrested a Snake
Two boys who saw a two foot long snake crawling on a ledge above a shop in Renfrew Street, near Charing Cross, Glasgow, dialled 999. Constable Alex Higgins climbed to the ledge and knocked the snake to the pavement. He put in in a box and took it to Mr Andrew Wilson, who has an indoor zoo. Mr Wilson said - " It was a common grass snake - but the Constable didn't know that at the time".
