Prowling Snake

The snake which went on the prowl this week in the city surely has a thirst, as it was found in a wine cellar not far from the place which it made its escape a day or two previous.

The snake may once more rest untroubled by thoughts of being bitten by a poisonous denizen of the jungle.

Rain Storm in Dundee

From an early hour on Thursday morning until late in the evening heavy rain fell in Dundee, imparting to the streets of the city a deserted and miserable appearance. All outside work was suspended and in many of the low-lying districts considerable inconvenience was caused by flooding while several portions of the railway lines in neighbouring districts were submerged.
